Hi everyone! I've made two more Nintendo DS cases - made to fit a Nintendo DS Lite video gaming portable system. They can also fit a variety of other things since it is a zippered knit pouch - your camera, iPod, cell phone, make-up, or anything else you would like to organize or transport around with you!
The first case that I made is made from green Merino wool - the lining is super cute and has little pigs! The fabric is straight from a fabric shop in Kyoto, Japan.

The case is knit by hand and the fabric lining, as well as the zipper, are all sewed by hand. On the front of the green case, there is a cute 1" pinback button attached, featuring a cat jumping into the air, like a Jack-in-the-Box (a cat in the box?) :)
The green knit case is available for purchase in my Etsy shop for $15.00.
The next case, also available in my Etsy shop, is made with a beautiful shade of green-gray wool, 100% Merino wool. It has slight hints of gold and blue in the sunlight - a great natural earthy tone called "Treebark Mix" by the company. Similar to the other cases that I create, there is a Japanese fabric used on the inside featuring swimming turtles on navy blue. The fabric and the zipper are sewed by hand.

There is a kawaii button on the front as well, a smiling pink tofu :) Super cute!

More DS Cases! Thanks to everyone for the great response on the first two cases that I made - they both sold, so I made some more! I made three cases:
A Blue-Green Case - with chocolate and turquoise polka dot fabric lining, and an Animal Crossing button on the front
A Chocolate Brown Case - with Kawaii pig fabric lining (fabric from Kyoto, Japan) and a super cute Relax Bear button on the front
A Striped Brown and White Case - with retro-styled autumn leaf fabric lining and a cute Orange Boy Kawaii button
I decided to try my hand at making a case that would fit my pink Nintendo DS Lite and it worked out really well! These DS cases are knitted pouches that are completely lined, have a zipper added, as well as pompoms attached to the zipper.
I have made two so far for my Etsy Shop: a Pink DS Case with black and white lining, and a Blue-Green DS case with a flower lining.
The Blue-Green case has a pale blue zipper with a delicate flower lining - tiny flowers of pink, blue, yellow, and red with little green leaves.
The Pink case has a black zipper with a black and white pattern that also has flowers and leaves. The pink and black looks awesome together!

The pouch can also be used as a wallet or for pretty much anything
else, too - your iPod, cellphone, keys, money, change, credit cards -
it is incredibly versatile!
The entire pouch is made by hand - the lining and the zipper have been completely sewed by hand, as well as the knitting. Attached to the zipper are two pom-poms. Also, a 1" pinback Nintendo button has been attached to the front of the pouch as well, to showcase your love for playing games on your DS!

Just in case you didn't catch yesterday's post, I participated in a swap on Craftster with a video game theme. Basically, you are matched up with a swap partner, and you craft for each other. I crafted video game themed items for Ashley and her favourite video games, and I received some awesome crafts in exchange!
The first one is this crochet Yoshi hat! Fits me perfectly, and it's super fun. There are red little spikes down the back, just like Yoshi has, and two eyes in the top of the hat. It is so adorable and I can't wait until it gets cooler outside so I can wear it!
Next, she made me a pouch/case for my Nintendo DS. It is a great little fabric case that my DS Lite fits into perfectly. It is great that she made this - Paul and I ended up with 3 DS Lites between the two of us (he got me the pink one for Christmas even though we both already had white ones) so we could definitely use a third case! It has two little spaces in the front where you can put games. And it has super cute heart fabric!
The third item that Ashley sent me is this awesome Toadette scarf! I wrote down in the survey that we had to fill out that Toadette is one of my favourite video game characters - Toadette rules. She is crazy and spunky, and this scarf perfectly captures the character! The fact that it is pink rules, since pink is my favourite colour. The yarn hair is fun and cute and the fact that she is winking is wonderful! :)
The fourth item that I received is this tote bag - which I must say, is such an original idea! Some of my favourite video games are Bubble Bobble and Bust a Move, both of which feature the dragons, Bub and Bob. Ashley used fabric paint to create Bub and sewed buttons to the bag to symbolize the bubbles that you try to bust in Bust a Move! So bright and colourful, lots of fun, and will be great to take to the store instead of using those wasteful plastic bags!
And the last item is this Mario zippered pouch. I always have a use for more zippered pouches, to carry make-up, to carry things in my purse or bag, and they're great to carry things on vacation. And anything with Mario & Donkey Kong on it rules! Ashley was nice enough to include 5 gifts instead of 4 in the package - what a sweetheart! She is a really talented crafter and I'm so happy that I got her as my swap partner! She also has an Etsy Shop, Oh That Ashley.

I wanted to share a Christmas present that I made for my fiancé last Christmas - it's a needlepoint Nintendo DS Lite case! It is Earthbound-themed - if any of you are not familiar with the game, it's an awesome RPG for the Super Nintendo that we played for hours and hours together. I definitely recommend it to everyone! We were lucky enough to find a copy of the game, complete with it's original box and player's guide (which we tried not to peek at for hints!).
The outside is done completely in needlepoint - this took many, many hours to complete since there are a LOT of stitches, not to mention the multiple sides! The three characters on the case are Mr. Saturn, and the two playable characters (Ness and Paula). Inside the case (as pictured), I lined it in pink felt.
On the back of the case, I carried on with the bright lime green background but stitched a little pink heart in the corner, as an added loving touch!
I also made sure to include a space so you can recharge the DS while keeping the DS in its case!
This took a really long time to make (since we took a vacation in the middle of December, I was still scrambling to work on it on Christmas Eve!) but he totally loved it! I tend to make a lot of crafts for the both of us first, and then decide whether or not to put similar ones up in my Etsy Shop, so he has received many crafty things over the years :)
Update: My DS Case has been featured on some blogs! You can read here at the Wonderland Blog and Kotaku. Thanks so much to Alice & Kotaku!
