The Mario fridge magnets (pictured to the left) feature a question mark block, a red mushroom, a green 1up mushroom, a fire flower, a star, and a gold coin - all in fridge magnet form!
The Pacman fridge magnets are a set of six needlepoint magnets: Pacman, Inky, Blinky, Pinky, Clyde (the four ghosts), and the dark blue ghost that Pacman can eat.
The Bubble Bobble / Bust a Move fridge magnets are also a set of six, that feature four of the enemies (including the super scary invincible white ghost that comes to get you after a certain amount of time...if you played Bubble Bobble as a child, I'm sure you were pretty scared of him, too!), and the two dragon heroes (Bub and Bob).
All of the fridge magnets are completely stitched by hand and the back of the character is covered completely with felt to hide all of the stitches. Attached to the felt is a sturdy magnet, allowing you to use these on your fridge, your locker, or anywhere magnetic!
I hope you enjoyed viewing these as much as I enjoyed making them! More to come in the works...or if you have any requests, I can pretty much make any video game character, and I'm always happy to take custom orders! :)

Lostmitten.org has been officially launched! My brand new website - featuring a brand new blog about my own handmade crafts plus the work of others!
I'd really appreciate it if you'd take the time to check out my new site as well as the blog... if you're interested, be sure to bookmark the blog since chances are I will be writing there a little more than here (I'll still do my best to write at this blog as well).
I will be launching a shop there, separate from my Etsy shop, but that is not fully functional yet, "coming soon".
Hello! Just wanted to share my newest creations that I've listed in my Etsy shop today (Wednesday October 3rd)!
The first is a Multicolored Crochet Scarf. It is made from 100% Merino Wool, and has shades of red, orange, green, and purple. It is perfect for the Fall, nice autumn colors! It will keep you nice and warm - this scarf is long enough to wrap around your neck a couple of times (86" in length!). It is fashionable and functional.
The scarf and the fingerless gloves are sold separately, but would also match as a set! I have many other knit items for sale in my Etsy Shop, since it's time to start thinking about bundling up and preparing for the winter weather that will soon be coming our way!
More DS Cases! Thanks to everyone for the great response on the first two cases that I made - they both sold, so I made some more! I made three cases:
A Blue-Green Case - with chocolate and turquoise polka dot fabric lining, and an Animal Crossing button on the front
A Chocolate Brown Case - with Kawaii pig fabric lining (fabric from Kyoto, Japan) and a super cute Relax Bear button on the front
A Striped Brown and White Case - with retro-styled autumn leaf fabric lining and a cute Orange Boy Kawaii button
This is the greatest cake ever. I have yet to see it in person but I will in a couple of hours - my fiance sent a picture of it to me, as to what to expect once I get home (I'm at work right now).
This is actually a cake made to look like an original NES controller! It was baked for my fiance, Paul, by one of his (now former) co-workers as a going away present - it was his last day at work today. What a nice surprise...and the cake is chocolate, my fave!
I know that we are going to have to eventually eat the cake...although it is way too fun to eat! A very thoughtful gift considering the fact that Paul and I are such geeky gamers :)
I just found a great listing of Canadian Etsy Shops! Be sure to go here to view the banners and shops of the Top 100 Canadian Etsy Shops!

Hi everyone! This blog posting is serving more as a question: I am thinking of contributing to the Sampler - has anyone had any experience with this? Would you recommend it? Do you have any tips for me? For those of you who don't know what the sampler is, you can visit their website: it is basically a promotional tool for those who run crafty businesses to get samples of your product out there.
For those of you who have contributed, did you find it was a good experience? Did you find that you got any increased business possibly because of your contributions? Any information about your experiences would be much appreciated, thanks!

This decoupage project began with an old jewelry box that definitely needed some revitalization. I was ready to start looking for a new place to store my jewelry when the crafty wheels in my head started to turn - maybe this jewelry box could be saved. The end result: a completely unique jewelry box created through recycling and the art of decoupage.
All you really need to get going with this craft is: the article you wish to decoupage, paper or materials that you want to cover the article with, and Mod Podge (the glue that I used to affix the paper to the jewelry box). Soon enough, you'll have saved an old piece of furniture or accessory from its demise and you'll have a one-of-a-kind new crafty creation!
Once all of the paper dried, I took an old photograph that I found in a drawer of a scene at a lake and glued it to the top lid. I just found that the jewelry box could use something extra as a focal point. The beauty of this craft is that it is easy to do, doesn't take too long (depending on the size of the project!), and it is super creative! Hopefully you will be inspired by this project to reform some items around your house or save them from going out to the trash!
