This is a special one-time sale on many one-of-a-kind, handmade items, so get 'em while you can! This would be a great opportunity to start your Christmas/Holiday shopping!
For those of you who may have never visited my Etsy shop before, here is an idea of some of the things you will find:
* Video Game Crafts
* Nintendo DS Cases
* Knit Ware, including fingerless gloves and hats
* Chiyogami and Japanese Paper Jewelry
* Pinback Buttons - Japanese paper, Kawaii, Comic, Manga, Video Game
* Perler Bead Coasters, Cardholders, Boxes, Decorations and more
* Needlepoint Framed Artwork
* Magnets
And last, but not least, a big thank you to my wonderful customers and everyone that I have met over the past two years that have been supportive of my craft. Thank you so much for your interest in handmade, handcrafted goods, and my small business!
I have been very busy lately coming up with brand new ideas for my shop, which I will be posting over the next few days! The first brand new original item that I have created is made from Perler Beads, and is a new take on my Question Mark Keepsake Box ... this time with a new twist!
And here it is! The Question Mark Keepsake Box with Interchangeable Powerups!
This keepsake box comes with interchangeable power-ups to attach to the top of the box! Each power-up can stick inside the top of the box lid - there is a Red Mushroom, a Green 1UP Mushroom, a Fire Flower, a Coin, and an Invincibility Star. You can display the box normally without the power-ups with the question mark to the front, or flip the box around to the side where it looks like Mario has already hit the block, and place a power-up in the top of the lid! This is a versatile keepsake box with six different looks in total!
As for the box itself, it is made to look like a Question Mark Block from the Super Mario games for the Nintendo. It has a lid on the top that has two layers - the second layer allows the lid to fit snugly on top of the box. You can keep anything inside this box (it would be great for your gold coins!) and it would look great on any desk, shelf, bedroom, office, you name it!
I hope you enjoy my newest geeky creation! I'll be posting more very soon, too!

Lostmitten.org has been officially launched! My brand new website - featuring a brand new blog about my own handmade crafts plus the work of others!
I'd really appreciate it if you'd take the time to check out my new site as well as the blog... if you're interested, be sure to bookmark the blog since chances are I will be writing there a little more than here (I'll still do my best to write at this blog as well).
I will be launching a shop there, separate from my Etsy shop, but that is not fully functional yet, "coming soon".
The Lost Mitten shop has been open for business for one year now (since September 2006) so I have decided to have a one-time sale, which I have never done before! 20% off everything in shop from NOW until THURSDAY at Midnight EST! Everything has been marked down!
Many items are one-of-a-kind and everything is completely handmade by me! It might be a good opportunity to start your Holiday/Christmas shopping ahead of time, or snag some good deals for yourself!
In my shop, I create:
* Handbound Journals
* Video Game Related Crafts
* Chiyogami and Japanese Paper Jewelry
* 1" Pinback Buttons - Chiyogami, Kawaii, Comic, Manga
* Coasters
* Cardholders
* Needlepoint Brooches
* Magnets
There won't be another sale like this so get it while you can! Click here: lostmitten.etsy.com and check it out!
Welcome to my blog! I decided to start a blog, mainly devoted to my love of do-it-yourself and crafty goodness. I am the owner of an Etsy shop called Lost Mitten (http://lostmitten.etsy.com). I'd like to use this space to feature crafts that I have made for my shop, things that I have purchased in other shops (or would like to purchase!), or things that I have made for either myself or my fiancé, Paul. I tend to make a lot of things for us first, which end up translating into items that I have later in my shop, so all of the items that you might find in my shop you would also find around our place!
We are in love with video games, especially all things Nintendo. We still play our original NES and SNES on a regular basis, as well as games on the Nintendo Wii. Right now, we're quite involved with the new Super Paper Mario game, it's great fun! So, lots of things that I make relate to video games in all of their pixelated glory.
I also love to knit - mittens, scarves, hats, bags, sweaters - you name it! I'm also in the process of teaching myself how to crochet, but I'm very partial to knitting right now since I know it best!
Anyway, I'm sure this will be a lot of fun and I look forward to meeting other like-minded crafters on here! :)
